5 Supplements That Actually Get Results

5 supplements that REALLY work and get REAL RESULTS! I get asked this all the time.  Behind diet and meal planning this is the next most common question I get.  I try different supplements all the time but a few are staples in my daily routine.  These are the 5 that I just wouldn’t want to live without.




 Number one may be a bit of a shocker, but I can’t start my day without a cup of coffee.

Yes, I listed coffee as a supplement.  Coffee gets a bad rap but it has many benefits.  It’s when you start adding all the other junk to it that the cons start to out-weigh the pros.

 Shakeology has been a staple in my diet for over 2 years.  (This should be number one, but I seriously can’t live without coffee)

  • Complete meal replacement (much better than just a protein shake or protein bar)
  • Low GI score (keeps blood sugar stable-prevents massive cravings)

The list of benefits goes on and on with this one. My favorite benefit though….I literally have not been sick or gotten the flu not even once since I started using this supp.  I have no doubts about the health benefits and immune boosting abilities of it (and I don’t get the flu shot)

 If you don’t know why you should be taking a protein supp, then you’ve been living under a rock.

And if you’re serious about building lean muscle then this is a key supplement and should be a staple in any food plan.  YES, it’s possible to get all of your protein needs from food sources, BUT it takes a very disciplined approach to meal planning that is usually only accomplished by advanced athletes and trainers, even then it can be difficult for many to hit their protein goals without a supplement.

Creatine is another supplement that if you’re serious about building muscle then it’s a no brainer…YOU SHOULD be using it!

All of the major brands offer high quality pure creatine monohydrate, which is all you need.  Also, many of the protein powders and pre-workouts now come with creatine as an included ingredient.  5-10 grams per day is all that is needed.  I use Creature by Beast Sports and I’m really liking it.  #5 PRE-WORKOUTSpreworkout

 Some people love em’ some hate em’.  I love em’.

Pre-workouts are one of the FEW supplements that give you INSTANT effects.  You literally see and feel the effects of a pre-workout supplement within a few minutes of taking it.

There are basically two types:

  • Stimulant Pre-workouts
  • Non-Stimulant Pre-workouts (also known as “PUMP” Pre-workouts)

I like both.  Most of the stimulant pre-workouts have pump products in them.  If you are unfamiliar, pump products improve blood flow and enhance the “pump” that you get from your workout.  They actually enhance it quite significantly.  They also tout better nutrient delivery, better endurance, as well as faster recovery.

If you don’t tolerate stimulants well, then you can just go with any of the No2 or No3 supplements that don’t contain stimulants.

I prefere both and I accomplish this by going with a stack of Hemavol and Nano Vapor. I have tried just about all the major pre-workout supps and this is my favorite right now.

Hemovol is without a doubt the best pump and blood flow supplement I have ever used.

The ingredients in Nano Vapor compliment the ingredients in Hemavol very nicely, with a few over lapping and allowing a smaller dose of Nano Vapor.

If you decide to go with a pre-workout, it’s important to remember to take a “stim break” every few months to give your system a rest and prevent a tolerance build up.
